The Sama Go Green! Series 02, Limited Edition T-shirts Posted on Mar 10, 2008 I’ve been very busy lately but I got a good news for those who were -desperately, as I read on several comments- waiting for the new Sama t-shirts. Some of you had the opportunity to buy one last year during my exhibition in Paris, but they were not officially on sell before March 08. Since last week, the Sama Go Green! Series 02 T-shirtsare available on my official website. But like I already said, this is a very limited edition because I wanted the t-shirts to be ‘Green’ and I didn’t want to industrialize their process. All tees are sustainable edition item made from certified imported 100% organic cotton, they are fair trade and made under sweatshop-free conditions with eco-friendly screen-printing materials. Registered members on this blog have received an automated email last weekend to let them know; so just in case you are not registered -yet-, I wanted to… Apple’s iPod Touch ‘Samazed’ and CES 2008 goodies Posted on Jan 11, 2008 This is my first (late?) post of 2008! I finally got a few minutes to present you my first ‘gadget’ of the year: iPhone Touch. First I wanted an iPhone like almost everyone, but since I can’t take photos with it (this is the reason why I bought my Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot K800i 3G phone, because it had a good camera), it couldn’t replace my actual phone so I decided to wait for the next iPhone generation. Until now, I used my phone to listen to music, sometimes also my Zen (Creative Labs) and/or my PSP. But the iPod Touch had it all (minus the camera, of course): the wonderful multitouch interface is exactly like on the iPhone, the 3.5-inch multitouch widescreen has a resolution of 480-by-320, there is a Wi-Fi version of the iTunes Music Store(so I can buy songs by just clicking on them) and you can use… Trouville has been samazed! Posted on Jul 22, 2007 As you probably already know, I don’t like being on photos but I do like take photos. Then I samaze them which means I draw (using my computer or a pencil) some elements from the World Of Sama onto them. The result is like real world incorporated into a weirdo world, in black and white. Lately I came to Trouville sur Mer (Calvados, France), a beautiful french town, a bridge away from Deauville, a city mostly known for its casino, the beach where the great movie from Claude Lelouch: ‘A Man and a Woman’ (Un homme et une femme, 1966) was filmed and of course, for the Deauville American Festival (in September). Trouville and Deauville are separated by a bridge but sometimes it looks like there is a world between the two cities. One is believed to be hype and the other one more typical; I like both cities even… JFK, Gore, Clinton and Obama into the Sama Family Posted on May 2, 2007 I am not Americanas you may have already noticed without any difficulty, but a few months ago (back in September) I started to work on my new Samazed Series and my first work was about JFK, with no apparent reason besides the fact his assassination is still in everyone’s memory (well, at least mine). Then I worked on other projects and in October An Inconvenient Truth was released in Europe, Al Gorewas almost on every channel over here. I guess this is the reason why I decided to include him into the Samazed Series; on this work, he appears like a little genius (actually his head only) coming out of a magic lamp. The one who introduces himself during his Inconvenient Truth tour saying: “I used to be the next president of the United States of America” has all the reasons (either good or bad) for being samazed. And so… |
