Thanks to all of you who watched my online show yesterday! We have sent many invitations (registered, regulars, on request, newcomers…) and almost everyone could make it and connected to the server. The live feed went fine and I appreciate the many questions you asked me. Most of them were very specific and made me realized there are some experts concerning my work. This online show was a great experience for me and I suppose it was for you too, from the many emails I received. In the coming days, the necklace that was shown during the show will be on sale on my Official Website and one of the artwork from the Sama in the Sky New Series will be published on The World of Sama Art Website; the artwork was the one most voted by you during the show. I told you you would get information about my next show pretty soon and every reader of this Blog should have received an invitation for the event by now. So, as some of you already know, my upcoming show won’t take place anywhere, it will be an online show. This is not the first time I make a ‘virtual show’, I did it more than a decade ago and I know some you were already following me at this time (time is passing so quickly, isn’t it?). Fifteen years later, the technology has evolved and it won’t be an online show like it was the first times. The invitation already tells a lot: you will have to use a phone to see it. September has been a very busy month for two main reasons: first because I am working on my next show and it is, as always, a lot of work. I will unveil several new works from 2 new series soon. The series are not complete yet so it will be very exclusive to the show since any of them will be publicly revealed before 2010. Second reason I have been very busy: I will launch a new collection of jewelry. It will be available after the show, the first to see the necklace pendants will be the ones attending the show. A quick post to thank everyone who came to see my exhibition on Friday. It is always exciting to show my work and share it with open minded and curious people. As some of you have noticed, I am not very comfortable with camera and interviews about myself, but I was keen to answer to all the questions you had about the World of Sama and my work. And some of you really asked me a lot! So I hope you had a great time during the show. This exhibition was the second ‘Private Event’, there will probably be a third one next year (not in an abandoned house in countryside, neither in a cozy apartment near the Eiffel Tower), I’m already thinking about a new unexpected place for the Sama Zone. The Sama Zone’s got to be ready for Friday and it will, despite the fact the place looks more like a battlefield than a cozy apartment… I have a free hand about what I want to do and I’m taking full advantage of the emptiness of the place (no furniture, nothing in there!) to show my works on both design and clothes. Some of you were wondering (yeah, I have read all your comments on the exhibition announcement post) what the show will be about, here’s a hint for those who will attend: furniture for living room (dining table and sofa chair), accessories (lamp and vase) but also sculptures (middle size, no giant this time). All theses objects have never been shown before, and are unique pieces.
