Les aventures extraordinaires d’Adele Blanc-Sec opens tomorrow in France and Luc Besson‘s adaptation of Jacques Tardi‘s Adele Blanc-Sec sounds great. In 2007 (jeez, time flies!) I wrote about the director/producer in: From Scarface to Smokin’ Aces: the art of the gun sceneand I mentioned several of the movies he made like Nikita, Le Grand Bleu and Léon.
Les aventures extraordinaires d’Adele Blanc-Sec is an adventure set in the early part of the 20th century and focused on a popular novelist and her dealings with would-be suitors, the cops, monsters and other distractions such as a pterodactyl unleashed on France’s capital city and a speaking mummy.
I have no idea if the film is going to be released in other countries but I am pretty sure it will. Enjoy the trailer!
