Half the Sky: Moving Individual Stories To Engage People

    Posted on Sep 19, 2010 | Ω 36 Comments

Last week I met with friends to discuss Half the Sky, by Pulitzer-prize winning American journalists Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn. I mentioned the book for the first time in International Women’s Day: Ordinary Extraordinary Women and since then, many people I know decided to buy the book, whether it is the English or the French edition (published in France in April 2010 by Les Arènes). I also received several emails from people who read my post (on this blog or on the Sama Gazette) who wanted to share with me their opinion. So I decided to organize a meeting with friends and acquaintances to know more about what they thought of the book and it was enriching. Let me first quickly introduce Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. It is a great book about the reality many women in the world are facing everyday. Nintendo celebrates 25 years of Super Mario Bros.

    Posted on Sep 13, 2010

Twenty-five years ago today, Nintendo‘s original Super Mario Bros. video game made its debut in Japan and changed the world of video games forever. Since then, Mario has become one of the most renowned and beloved video game characters around the globe. I couldn’t miss this day to celebrate Super Mario. Nintendo designer and Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto had something to say about it: ‘Stimulated by advancements in technologies, we have always enjoyed developing the Super Mario Bros. series. The Super Mario Bros. series has always taken advantage of the latest technologies and is the fruit of the creativity of a number of my hard-working friends working as a team’. Nintendo Invites Fans to Celebrate 25 Years of Super Mario Bros. Fun on this website. And Nintendo of Japan has produced the video below showing the history of everyone’s favorite super plumber.

    Website redesign for Maxdana.com

    Posted on Sep 8, 2010

A quick post to let you know my official website just had a complete redesign. You can find the ‘old’ sections (Bio, Designer, Writer, Photographer) and but also new and updated ones. There is also a Twitter Feed so you can follow the latest tweets from the Sama Gazette and mines. The design is clean and easy to navigate. I hope you like it. I am also working on my blog redesign but it is not for anytime soon. I have some ideas for it so visitors can search the posts more easily. The design didn’t change for a long time, so it is definitely on my to do list but it is not a priority. Enjoy visiting and reading! ^_^
